Admission Requirements

The mode of study shall be full-time. The programme shall be for the continuous duration of five (5) years of study for candidates through UTME, and four (4) years for candidates through Direct Entry. Students shall be exposed to the mandatory Eleven (11) months of Practical Work Experience which shall comprise; two months at the end of Year II, three months at the end of Year III and six months after the end of First Semester of Year IV.

UTME Admissions

Students intending to enroll in Agricultural Engineering must satisfy the general University entrance requirements below:

  • minimum of five Ordinary Level (SSCE or NECO) credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and any other science subjects at NOT more than two (2) sittings.
  • minimum UTME / Post-UTME score for admission into the programme which shall be determined by the University Admission Committee.

Direct Entry admission

(i)    Candidates for direct entry who fulfill the conditions in (i) above and who also have additional passes of satisfactory grade at ‘A (Advanced)’level in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics or candidates with Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Certificate from approved Universities, Colleges of Technology or Polytechnics with a grade not lower than upper credit may be considered for admission into 200 Level.
