Tech-U graduates 100 trainees in system security

The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof.Ayobami Salami, at the certificate presentation ceremony of the Oyo State Youth Empowerment and Contract Recruitment programme held in the institution, said the training was specially designed to reduce the scourge of youth unemployment in the state.

Salami, who was with the Commissioner for Budget and Finance in the state, Mr Bimbo Adekanmbi, said the beneficiaries were drawn from Ona Ara Local Government Area, as he called on public and private officials to support the programme.

Salami said, “The programme represents one way the institution hopes to contribute to the socio-economic development process of the country. By supporting this programme, we will ensure the building of an entrepreneurship-oriented society and strengthen the industrial base of the state and Nigeria.”

Adekanmbi, the sponsor of the training, said he was pleased to have supported the training of youths in industry relevant technical, vocational and entrepreneurial skills acquisition to enable them start and effectively manage need-based micro and small sized enterprises.
